If you have purchased and paid for a WeChat product or service provided by us (and not by third parties), you may receive a refund for that purchase if we receive a refund request from you within 14 days of the date you made the purchase in question. If you have already used part of the product or service in question, you will only receive a refund for the unused part. In the case of a download or streaming product, you acknowledge that by downloading or streaming that product, you are not entitled to a refund of such purchase. From time to time, there may be third-party content, programs and/or services on WeChat that are subject to other terms and conditions of that third party – for example, the terms of the relevant third party that originally produced or created such content or services, terms relating to promotional activities held on WeChat, terms relating to your use of WeChat login features or terms provided by third parties, which govern your use of mini-programs created by a third party. You are solely responsible for reviewing and complying with these third party terms and conditions. Service providers who wish to support merchants in the integration and maintenance of the WeChat Pay cross-border payment service system. If you believe that we have charged you in error and that we are subject to applicable laws and regulations: (a) you must contact us within 30 days of the date of the relevant charge; and (b) after the expiration of such 30 days, no refund will be given for erroneous fees. We may process payments from you in WeChat through a third-party service, and we may share your relevant information with such third parties to process your payments. You agree to comply with that relevant third party`s terms and conditions with respect to the Payment Processing Service, as described in the “Third Party Content and Services” section below. If the WeChat services or features we provide damage any of your digital devices or content and this is due to our failure to apply reasonable care and skill, we will repair the damage or pay you reasonable compensation for such damages.

However, we will not be liable for any damage you could have avoided if you had followed our advice to apply an update that is offered to you free of charge, or for any damage caused by your failure to follow the installation instructions correctly or by failure to meet the minimum system requirements recommended by us. We provide WeChat and the services or features accessible through WeChat only for home and private use. If you use WeChat or the Services or Features for commercial or commercial purposes, we will not be liable to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity. According to the Wall Street Journal, 16 million red envelopes were sent in the first 24 hours after the launch of this new feature.

[7] A month after its launch, WeChat Pay`s user base grew from 30 million to 100 million users, and 20 million red envelopes were distributed during the New Year`s holidays. In 2016, 3.2 billion red envelopes were sent during the holiday season and 409,000 were sent at midnight for the Chinese New Year alone. Although users receive an instant notification of the transaction, the WeChat Pay system is not an instant payment instrument because the transfer of funds between its counterparts is not instantaneous. In 2016, WeChat launched a service fee when users transferred money from their WeChat wallet to their debit cards. On March 1, WeChat Payment stopped charging fees for the bank transfer feature. From the same day, a fee will be charged for withdrawals. Each user had a free withdrawal limit of 1,000 yuan (about $150).

Other withdrawals of more than 1,000 yuan were charged with a fee of 0.1% and a minimum of 0.1 yuan per withdrawal. Other payment features such as red envelopes and bank transfers were always free. If the discontinued service is a paid service, we may deduct a reasonable portion of these fees from any refund as compensation for costs incurred by us as a result of the termination of the service in question. We may remove or refuse to provide or link to certain third-party content or programs or services if they infringe intellectual property rights, are obscene, defamatory or abusive, infringe rights or pose a risk to the security or performance of weChat. You must create an account with us in order to access and use WeChat. Any account you open with us is personal to you and you are prohibited from making gifts, lending, transferring or permitting, accessing or using your account. Your account name, username and other identifiers you accept in WeChat remain our property and we may disable, retrieve and reuse them as soon as your account is terminated or deactivated by you or us for any reason. .
